Dr P Neha Sudhakar

Dr. Neha Sudhakar currently serves as the head of the Department of Vitreoretina, Uveitis, and Neuro-ophthalmology at Suseela Netralaya in Kurnool. She received her basic medical education at Navodaya Medical College, Raichur, and completed her residency at Shanthiram Medical College, Nandyal. Her specialized training in Vitreoretina, Uveitis, and Neuro-ophthalmology was undertaken at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. Additionally, she has received training in ROP screening and management, pediatric retina evaluation, and Phacoemulsification at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

Dr. Neha Sudhakar has contributed to approximately five publications in peer-reviewed journals, both nationally and internationally. She has performed over 6,000 retina surgeries and has presented her surgical techniques at various academic conferences. As an experienced retina surgeon, she possesses special skills in retinal detachment surgeries, complex diabetic tractional detachments, macular hole surgeries, secondary IOL implantation, management of complications from cataract surgery, ocular trauma, and intraocular foreign body removal surgeries. She is also a member of various national and international ophthalmic societies.

Dr. Neha Sudhakar has received several distinguished accolades:

• Best paper for the session at the state conference (Andhra Pradesh Ophthalmological Society) for "Aqueous Cytokines in Diabetic Macular Edema and Correlation to OCT Patterns of DME – APOS 2016."

• Best paper for the session at the state conference (Andhra Pradesh Ophthalmological Society) for "Bespoke Therapeutical Approach in Retinal Vein Occlusions Based on Aqueous Cytokine Concentration – APOS 2016."

• Best Poster at the All India Ophthalmological Society for "Customization of Therapy in Retinal Vein Occlusions Based on Aqueous Cytokine Levels – AIOS 2017."

• Presentation on "Aqueous Cytokines in Retinal Vein Occlusions" at ARVO, Seattle, USA 2016.

• Presentation on "Oximetry in Optic Disc Edema, Correlation with Visual Fields" at ARVO, Baltimore 2017, judged by Dr. S.S. Hayreh.

She has co-authored book chapters in "Medical and Surgical Management of Retinal Diseases" by Dr. Atul Kumar (AIIMS).
